HOW WE PLAN TO BUILD CHAMPIONS
— Training Philosophy
At WWA we believe development is achieved through disciplined habits and repetition of specific techniques. Practice plans not only address technical needs but also mental strength, physical, flexibility, athleticism, and confidence.
BENEFITS OF Joining The WWA
Build Confidence
Wrestling alone builds a ton of confidence as it teaches kids discipline, helps them learn to defend themselves, and gives them a real sense of pride and accomplishment from individual achievement. Additionally, having a 4x division 1 NCAA qualifier Jacob Wright as the Coach gives wrestlers another level of confidence that their coach is equipped with the right knowledge and competed at a high level.
Get Diverse Training Partners
We believe this academy is the missing piece for wrestlers in our area. Wright Wrestling Academy is a non-partisan club and is not associated with any school. Since WWA is a business it is incentivized to work with as many cities and schools as possible, which is a win-win for the academy, the sport, and community. Wrestlers get access to training with wrestlers from all over the the Central Valley, currently, the club has wrestlers from Visalia, Tulare, Dinuba, Exeter, Kingsburg, Delano, Clovis/Fresno, and Bakersfield. This is extremely helpful for wrestlers to diversify and evolve their training.
Train Year Round
Wrestling season never ends at Wright Wrestling Academy, we offer all three styles of wrestling and train and prepare accordingly. July through October is Fokstyle preseason, November through early April is Folkstyle season, and Mid-April through early July is Freestyle and Greco season. If you are looking for a serious wrestling program this is the place. If your high school or club doesn't train year round we can be a great off-season program to help supplement training.
